Biomimicry Student Design Challenge 2013

Each fall the Biomimicry 3.8 Institute facilitates a Biomimicry Student Design Challenge focused on a real world problem. Aimed at college and university students, the design challenge invites students to work collaboratively in teams to apply biomimicry concepts and tools to arrive at a sustainable and innovative design solution. The 2013 Challenge focused on the topic of transportation.Each fall the Biomimicry 3.8 Institute facilitates a Biomimicry Student Design Challenge focused on a real world problem. The 2013 Challenge focused on the topic of transportation.
We began by using the Design Lense provided by the Biomimicry Institute in order to help us on our research.
Our class visited several ecology centers were we reasearched and met several experts on the local wildlife.
We visited sevearl professionals in order to gain information about prosthetics and to see how they are made.
After our research we began ideating and brainstorming ideas.
